"I may have less of the blood, but I am more of an Elf than you will ever be." - Varluvien Whitecloth, Half-Elf: Execution of the heretic Marrowin of Clan Villtur - 117 FHD.
Myr, or Half-Elves, that choose to live in predominantly human cities are seen as an mild societal oddity. Myr are generally accepted as part of the community except by the more fringe groups. The offspring of a Myr and Human will always result in a more human looking baby, blunting the elven influence. After about three generations of myr-human offspring most people will have a hard time identifying a myr at first glance.
Myr raised among elves have it harder due to lingering contempt of humans. They are, generally, politely ignored in the elven enclaves, but will be more welcome if they are thought to renounce their human side. Some myr seek service in the elven army to both gain recognition and to prove their dedication to the elven way of life. Like the Myr-Human baby, a Myr-Elven baby will result in more prominent elven features. Likewise, after three generations of myr-eleven offspring it becomes hard to tell the a Myr from a full blooded elf.
On Solterris: The largest population of Myr is in Solterris, a town on the outskirts of Tarcian territory. Solterris also boasts the largest human population within an elven territory, however the town is still under the control and governance of Clan Holmnaithe.
